A Deal, or a Very Convincing Lie?
This chip can turn a chase into a truce. It can also help you fake one.
If you use it, the Observer will tell the Hunters that you are waiting at Point 3b and want to negotiate.
The Observer and Hunters will receive exactly the same message whichever option you choose. They will not know if your Bargain is genuine.
The Bargain takes effect only if the Hunters accept it at Point 3b. Until then, the clock continues and you can still be captured.
Offer a genuine Bargain
If the Hunters accept:
- Every point you hold returns to them.
- Their countdown stops at that moment.
- Capture is no longer possible.
- Everyone plays Point 3b together.
- A correct answer at Point 3b adds a new 600-point bonus to the team score.
Fake the Bargain
The Hunters receive the same invitation, but:
- You keep the points you stole.
- Their countdown secretly continues.
- Capture is no longer possible if they accept.
- Point 3b does not unlock the new team bonus.
- The truth is revealed only at the end.
If the Hunters reject either Bargain, they can capture you normally.
Peace, deception or a little of both. The Baron is comfortable with all three.
